Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: Experts from the Anti-Drug Department cracked down on drug trafficking gangs, detaining two suspects, including a Cambodian and an American, and they confiscated more than 42.724 kilograms of methamphetamine. The packets of drug were wrapped as Chinese tea in the traditional South East Asian fashion.


The police raid took place on March 6, 2022 at 1:15 AM: the specialized force of the Department of Anti-Drug Crimes (A5) led by Brigadier General San Sothy conducted a search and crackdown on drug trafficking in front of Borey Tonle Bassac, Chamkarmon District. Two suspects were taken into custody: the first is ABDURRAHMAN A*, male, born in 1989, American, and the second is Chhay Ty, male, born in 1993, Cambodian.

Currently, the suspect and the exhibits are being processed and sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court according to the procedure.

EDIT UPDATE: *The correct name of the US man has now been confirmed as ABDURRAHMAN US'SUTTERI. He uses other names and he has been previously arrested in Cambodia (see below.)

His name will be swiftly forgotten.

Then on March 12, 2022, the two suspects were sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court to be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigation.

On 6 June 2019, the above suspect was sent to court in Phnom Penh on weapons charges under the name of ABOU RAMEN.
