I am reminded of what a privileged life I live. Grateful.
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

Britain announced it doesn’t have any more artillery shells left in its stockpile to sent to Ukraine. Same with other countries. Just in time delivery and decades of purchasing just enough for training has depleted world reserves. The US is building new ammunition factories, but that will take time.

Except Russia. Which has decades of Cold War reserves.

The last World War was last century. Everyone has forgotten how prolonged modern conflict between near peers drains resources.

Why NATO and Russia don't become allies? Together they would have 96% of the world's nuclear weapons and about 20% of the world's land, most of the technology and science knowledge, natural resources, etc etc. China, India, Arabs, Africa would dance as we play. EU, USA and Russia would be the rulers of the world. We are culturally and racially compatible.

I thought something similar back in 2016. The US and Russia would be the bookends of Western civilization.

Sadly, that is not what happened.

Allies? Once, in World War 2 under the threat
of existential destruction. And only lasted until its demise.

Russia was created from the expansion of the Muscovy rulers as a buffer zone - initially against the Mongols, then against all enemies. The buffer zone grew into the Russian Empire. And then beyond, specifically to protect from the Nazis after the war. Russia always sees enemies and always wants ever bigger buffer zones, usually gained through military expansion.

NATO was created to prevent Europe from being invaded and being the next buffer zone for Russia.

Short of an existential threat that threatens to destroy both Russia and. NATO, they will never be true allies.

One of the reasons NATO was created was to protect Western Europe from expansion by the Soviet Union.

The rest of your post sounds a little racial bias and you want a dictatorship. Hope that was sarcasm.
