27Yo Chinese Man Drowns in Siem Reap Motorbike Accident

Foreign national drowns in Siem Reap river
At 4 a.m. on February 21 in Siem Reap, Siem Reap Province, a Chinese man accidentally drove into the Siem Reap River while riding a motorcycle, causing him to drown.

The man has been name as Jia, a 27-year-old male, an is believed to have been an employee of Siem Reap’s new international airport.

After the incident, Siem Reap provincial police arrived at the scene to conduct an autopsy on the corpse.

According to the forensic investigation, the Chinese man did indeed die by drowning.

At present, the body of the Chinese man has been sent to Phnom Penh for temporary placement, waiting for the embassy and his family to deal with it.

(How did he drawn on a moto?)

I believe it is a year-round affliction.
Water level is quite low as well.

If he got thrown from the bike into the river and landed face down, it only takes a couple inches.

Not sure what has been done to Siem Reap river, but it does not flow in summer. The water stands still and looks pretty deep, and looks filthy as &*^!
