what docs are needed

Post by sanpol »

Hi everyone,
I'll be arriving on e-visa and then applying for another type of ordinary visa which can be extended for 6 or 12 months. Do I need police clearance and any other docs from other country?

The e-visa is an online tourist visa ( T- class). Strictly speaking it can only be extended once for 30 days. You need an E-class visa.

T visas can now be converted to E, ER, EB or EG.
No documentation require - $500+.

Seen figures from Kim and a few others a lot less
Better hurry as no idea how long they will allow this
I think you only need register on the FPCS app via ur landlord or i guess maybe the agent will do it for ya

It’s $300 for an EB or ER normally so I doubt it’s a lot less, as you say.

It was around a $1000.

The Conversion fee has reduced significantly, $100.

If the applicant has the necessary supporting documentation for the Extension of Stay category (ie. EB, ER) they are applying for then no extra fees, if not the agents will provide at an additional fee. The EG (General) Extension of Stay is available also, which requires no supporting documentation apart from FPCS screenshot, passport pic, EOS application form.

Police clearance is not required for Extension of Stay.

Is the extension to an ER Visa from a T Visa legitimate?

Yes, the DoI have recently officially approved the converting of Tourist Visas to E-type Visa Extensions of Stay as a stop gap measure until the issuing of Visas on Arrival is reinstated.
