Cambodia News (Steung Treng Province): At 8:30 am on February 6, 2022, in Prek village, Sangkat Stung Treng, Stung Treng city, 5 men were arrested for vandalizing and attempted murder. The police first arrested 2 men and seized 2 motorbikes on 5 February, which led to the arrest of 3 more men the next day, as well as 3 swords, 3 cleavers, 1 bamboo stick, and 4 motorbikes.

On the day of the incident, February 4, in Sre Po village, Sangkat Srah Russey, the suspects attacked a 16-year-old boy, Kla Soklin, a worker on a rubber farm in Sambor district, Kratie province. The victim suffered serious injuries on the right hand and was treated at a hospital in Steung Treng. The suspects also vandalized the victim's motorbike while the victim escaped and ran for help. The cause of the attack was an act of revenge between local youths.

On the same day at 6:40 pm, in Leu village, the 5 suspects attacked 2 more teenagers, a 14-year-old boy, Nob Chansopheak, and Lam Samnang, a 15-year-old boy, who were driving a motorbike that was moments later destroyed by the suspects.
The victims fled home, and their parents filed a police report and got the suspects arrested.
