A friend of mine stayed there once for a week. The room was upgraded to a suite and he said it was bigger than his house in England! The place was almost deserted and it's a bit out of the way, but I think they do a shuttle service for free or very cheap which will drop and collect you from downtown.
It was deserted.

They've combined the golf club with the hotel which makes it completely lacking any atmosphere.

A dedicated golfers' terrace bar overlooking the course for a couple of cold ones after the game would be a massive improvement.

Ha Ha, the caddies all dress like ninja assassins. I assume it's so they avoid getting too brown.

I'd be up for a 9 hole in jan/ Feb

I'd doubt I'd make 18 if the sun was out... :stir:

Ain't played for long time so would be rusty....
But any excuse for a few beers and a laugh πŸ˜ƒ

Go to City Golf, it's a short 9-hole par 3 course full of water, sand and misery. There is a driving range that you can use as part of the package so you can warm up or, if it goes badly, cool-off from the whole idea.
A perfect place to rekindle your love of golf and remember why you gave it up.

I have played one 18 hole round here. It was the most unpleasant 5 hours (yes, 5) I have spent on a course. The heat and the humidity ruins it. Never, ever, again.
