Who's watching the Olympics, what are you watching.

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Who's watching the Olympics, what are you watching.

Is anyone in the KOW watching the Olympics?

I remember growing up watching the Ice skating, not much else.... Long long time ago.

Not watching this time (Picture above says why)...... What about you?

I much prefer the winter Olympics - the downhill skiing, the ski jump and the toboggan are my picks.

Also, tragically, the curling, but I don't tell too many people about it.

I actually tried curling one time, it’s way, way more difficult than it looks.
As a rookie, I was advised to wear a headband with a padded cushion at the back, just in case I should slip and bang the back of my head on the ice.
Good advice as it turned out, wearing one slippery shoe and one grippy shoe is very unsettling and I inevitably went head over heels backwards, I’m fairly certain if it wasn’t for the padding I’d have shattered my skull on the ice. It didn’t stop me from ripping the arse out of my trousers though.

Curling is about the only thing I watch. A lot of skill, a lot of suspense.

I may be going to hell in a bucket,
but at least I'm enjoying the ride.
