covid # jump in singapore
In Singapore; a record 13,046 local coronavirus infections on Friday, triple the previous day's tally.
no end in sight ;-(Singapore has recorded 85,357 cases of the virus over the last 28 days, but 99.7% of them had no or mild symptoms.
The country has fully vaccinated 89% of the total population against Covid-19, while 59% have received boosters shots.
Authorities have previously warned that daily cases could rise to as many 15,000 due to the highly transmissible Omicron variant.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

So there’s another variant of Omnicon running wild. Not as nasty.

Re: covid # jump in singapore
I've heard of a few Singaporeans cancelling their trips to Cambodia in the last few days as they tested positive before the flight...

I think the prefix "bloody" might tip it over the edge.
Re: covid # jump in singapore
The sooner this Omicron comes to town and does its work, the sooner countries like Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam etc will realise that it's not a problem, there is no further need for futile testing and quarantining of visitors and to carry on with these practices is just causing continuing the severe economic harm with no public health benefits.
