Pedestrian Killed by Hit and Run in Phnom Penh

An unmarked car crashed into a pedestrian, killing him instantly.

Cambodia Breaking News, (Phnom Penh): On Monday, January 31, 2022 at 1:40am in front of the entrance to the VIP Borey on Street 217 in Prek Chrey village, Sangkat Spean Thmor, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, a traffic accident occurred when an unknown car crashed into a pedestrian, causing such severe head injuries that the man died at the scene.

In the case of the above accident, police do not yet know the identity of the victim. Meanwhile, the hit and run car, which was traveling from north to south, fled the scene and disappeared; for the moment, the make of the car and the license plate also remain unknown. According to police evidence so far, the accident was caused by speeding and careless driving.

The body of the victim was taken by the police to Wat Sambour Meas and police are searching for the man's relatives. There is an alert out to all police forces to find the car and identify the driver responsible for the man's death.
