If you could start any business in Cambodia..

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Booking.com was used a lot in the provinces before Covid.

There are several expat newspapers in Spain and France, maybe elsewhere. Has there ever been one in Cambodia, maybe aimed at tourists and expats ?

Bayon Pearnik was a printed monthly affair then went online and then disappeared when they lost their sponsor/owner got sick/everyone was kicked out of SHV.
There’s was (is) a few crappy travel booklets but never that popular because everyone uses online and they were always full of adverts.

Yes an expat newspaper called 'Truth' would be an apt name here. Along the lines of the now since dead one from Melbourne Australia that always had the latest goss going and a nice girly pic on page 4.

Speaking of which...I haven't yet seen that khmer dude with the straw hat return to Riverside flogging his newspapers.

I guess technology has finally caught up with his traditional business, that and the lack of tourists, it wouldn't be worth it for him. Besides, you can get all the latest news on that fine, respected expat site CEO :thumb:

If it’s somewhere that they intend to go, they’d miss it. Or end up next door.
