Has McDonald's lost its fucking mind?

Post by phuketrichard »

title says how i feel:

McDonald's has released a distinctively Thai ‘ice cream sundae’ that has shredded pork and chilli paste jam instead of strawberry jam. Price is 39 baht and is on sale until 5th April
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Generally McDonald's local dishes aren't as bad as their regulars. In the Netherlands they offered the McKroket for a while. While it was relatively bland it was a step up from their regular menu

Chili pork ice cream ?
Sounds wise and tasty. If it's bankable, they don't care.

I had a donner kebab type flatbread sandwich in one of the Phnom Penh markets, recently. The mayo/Sauce would have been better placed on an ice cream.
When they serve ice cream in regular bread, I think it’s time to discard all our presumed food norms and expectations.

Now, if I could just get hold of some more jalapeño marmalade that I picked up in Texas a few years back…

Oooh….

Durian/avocado smoothie. I forgot to have one on my last visit.
The offer of a durian pizza has been declined, though.

Talking of burgers and durian, I think there's a few around in the city.
