Yes, that's acceptable. You have no chance of winning, as you must be present, but it's ok to do. Just leave your tickets with someone

I think the Jackpot is at $1150 tonight. It get pretty busy in there and the jackpot is climbing nicely.

I happened to be in there last night and saw a small poster explaining the prizes etc. IIRC, if you pull an Ace you win $100, a King gets you $50 and a Queen $25. I think a jack get a bottle of vodka. All the non picture cards will win the free sub. When the prize money reaches $3000, the above prizes double.

Not quite. You buy a ticket which goes to a big container with everyone else’s tickets. There’s usually 200-400 tickets purchased each time. One ticket is drawn and that ticket holder gets to choose a card from the board. If it’s the joker he/she wins the jackpot. The jackpot increases each week.
So your odds of winning the jackpot if there are 300 tickets bought and 40 cards left, are 12,000 to 1. But there are smaller prizes and each three tickets you buy gets you a fee draft beer.
