Visa to start a new business catch-22
Re: Visa to start a new business catch-22
Great you received a dozen answers, which were concise and clear as well! And all that within twelve hours on a Saturday despite a 5-7 hour time difference. You've got a good hand picking your potential partners.Ozinasia wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 10:47 pm I have a dozen email communications with them their response's are clear and concise and prices seem extremely reasonable, basic corp $1,700 all in.
can be 100% foreign owned depending on purpose . I have communicated with a number of lawyers and CPA's etc offering the same service these guys appear the best.

It’s rather disconcerting how few of the recommendations I’m seeing not only in this thread but several other similar ones, are for people who display any evidence of being proper lawyers registered with the Bar Association.

We have been communicating over a month or so period, delay in proceeding is my end due to my business partner in UK falling ill to Covid .
don't understand your 5-7 hour time difference I am here in PP ... why the negativity ? guy asked a question and I posed my experience with what appears to be a decent firm certainly worth going to their office and feeling them out for himself I can no business connection to them , just trying to help ...
No good deed goes unpunished as they say.
regarding using a lawyer I spoke to 3 or 4 all were three times the price or more, it certainly doesn't require a law firm to establish a company one can do it yourself if you have the time and humor certainly a CPA or a firm like I mentioned can do it , its not rocket science.

The point of a lawyer isn’t that it’s difficult, it’s that being registered with the Bar Association means they’ve got something at stake. You’re much less likely to get swindled or messed around by a lawyer because they can lose their livelihood if they’re caught committing malpractice.Ozinasia wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 7:29 pm regarding using a lawyer I spoke to 3 or 4 all were three times the price or more, it certainly doesn't require a law firm to establish a company one can do it yourself if you have the time and humor certainly a CPA or a firm like I mentioned can do it , its not rocket science.

understood I guess if it within your budget sure, I just don't see the need to throw away $2k or more if a firm has an established office and are capable for $2k less I'll go that way every time . BTW one lawyer quoted $8,000 for same work Holly Molly he must have thought I came down in the last shower, nice office and Mercedes he had though.

Re: Visa to start a new business catch-22
There’s the other catch-22 for me of course - if I were already in the country I could verify firsthand that their office had the bearings of an established and professional setup, but in my situation I only have the word of an internet stranger that such-and-such person is on the level. :/
It’s looking like I might have to T-visa it for a month first to do the paperwork and then do a visa run afterwards, which I really don’t want to do because of the looming threat of quarantine.

Yeah sounds like either a chancer or someone that didn’t really want your custom. I’ve used lawyers I think 4 times in the UK and not once did I pay more than about £400 for their services.

Frankly I would never attempt nor trust such an important task without being here, setting up a corporation really needs boots on the ground.

If you already know what you want, why bother asking others?nerdlinger wrote:It’s rather disconcerting how few of the recommendations I’m seeing not only in this thread but several other similar ones, are for people who display any evidence of being proper lawyers registered with the Bar Association.

One thing I wonder, if you're here, why let them do the work for 1.700 USD? That's quite a bit more than you would spend doing it yourself.
About the negativity, I emailed them once too and never received a reply. But that's quite normal in the KoW.
