Best way to get a business visa for Cambodia?

Post by DannyP21 »

Hi all I do online freelance work and I was wondering what would be the best way of going about getting a business visa? If not business which visa would be best for a long term stay. Thank you all for your help!

The issuing of Visas on Arrival remains suspended.

E-type (Ordinary) Visas (often incorrectly referred to as the Business Visa) can only be obtained in advance from a Cambodian Embassy/Consulate, with the exception of Taiwanese passport holders who can obtain it from the e-Visa website.

The criteria varies from country to country, however most Embassies require applicants to provide extensive employment/business related supporting documentation from a registered Cambodian company. There are a few which require little to no supporting documentation at all ie. The Honorary Cambodian Consulate in Canada.

Currently many agencies in Cambodia are able to facilitate the conversion of a T-type (Tourist) Visa or e-Visa (electronic online Tourist Visa) to an E-type Visa Extension of Stay, for a hefty fee...but for how long this will be possible is not known.

PSD-Kiwi, I am curious to what the hefty fee is?

@AndyKK ... as there is no official policy or fee in reference to conversions, the fee varies from agency to agency....the notorious wideboy John Kep has been quoting suckers $1200+ (but unsurprisingly he can't even facilitate the conversions, and has been approaching other Visa agents to facilitate the conversions on his behalf). The more "reputable" agents are charging appx $200 above the usual 12 month EOS fee.

How would I find one of these agencies?

Getting a business visa is probably the easiest thing to obtain, but how would you go on about registration of an online business, and also take in mind that business licenses do vary in value around the country.
