Serbia demands Australia move Novak Djokovic to a nicer hotel

Serbia surely would take him back.Clutch Cargo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:25 pmSure, he could probably lease a private jet to leave, but he has to find a destination country that will let him in with his medical exemption from vax which has since been alleged may be dodgy as to whether he was or wasn't actually positive for covid.yongchi wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:58 pmMoney talks?Clutch Cargo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 3:53 pm
So how will he get home if deported and will he have to do 14 days quarantine first?
Perhaps he could just lease a private jet.
Instead of Medevac Novakvac.
The question is though, could they force him to do that?
I am no expert on this:
You reckon other countries won't even let the jet refuel on his way to Belgrade? Or not let the jet enter their airspace?

Yes, find it hard to imagine they wouldn't let their national hero back. I actually checked their requirements and Serbia does allow vax exemption on the basis of prior infection (subject to conditions) and they would probably want to overlook that his infection status may have been fake...yongchi wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:45 pmSerbia surely would take him back.Clutch Cargo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:25 pmSure, he could probably lease a private jet to leave, but he has to find a destination country that will let him in with his medical exemption from vax which has since been alleged may be dodgy as to whether he was or wasn't actually positive for covid.yongchi wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:58 pmMoney talks?Clutch Cargo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 3:53 pm

Transit would be OK I imagine for other countries if he doesn't go thru immigration.

I’m not commenting from a position of legal knowledge, but this discussion raises some curious points.yongchi wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:45 pmSerbia surely would take him back.Clutch Cargo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:25 pmSure, he could probably lease a private jet to leave, but he has to find a destination country that will let him in with his medical exemption from vax which has since been alleged may be dodgy as to whether he was or wasn't actually positive for covid.yongchi wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:58 pmMoney talks?Clutch Cargo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 3:53 pm

All airlines requiring vaccination to travel?
If he is/were ordinarily required to be vaccinated to board, I’d presume his (Australian) exemption was used to identify that he isn’t obligated to be so. If that wasn’t the case, I wonder on what terms he did travel?
He and possibly the airline are responsible. This is often why companies will have out of date and more restrictive requirements- so that they aren’t left holding responsibility.
Visas.
Visa issue and borders/immigration acceptance may actually be separate issues in the same department. Just because you qualify for visa issue does not automatically guarantee right of admission, I think. We’re used to the comfortable idea that having a visa ensures entry, which most of the time it does. But it can be declined. I’ve been with a colleague who had a US crew visa, as did I, yet he was denied entry into the US and spent many hours waiting in the terminal for a flight back to base.
If on the face of it, the visa was issued correctly based on information provided, which later is found to be inconsistent, that in itself can result in visa cancellation.
This whole fiasco started with an early hours arrival, and one failing in NoVacc’s favour is the ridiculously short amount of time afforded him to contact legal assistance. Again, I wonder if this was part of the planning, to come through while people are half asleep, but found a couple of jobsworths who asked all the pertinent questions.
Once again, the time issue crops up, leading to poorly thought out solutions.

Let's hope he can't get a flight back for some time being unvaccinated and spends time at detention
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.
