Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A tragic incident happened at 5:20 pm on January 4, 2022 in front of Wat Samaki Rainsy, Sangkat Stung Meanchey I, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh, when a man lost control of his mind, because his brother-in-law told him to stop smoking drugs.
The man, Sum Samorn, a 31 year old scavenger, became more and more angry with his brother as he smoked meth out on the 3FL balcony, and he climbed up on the railing. People tried to take his hand and to help him to get down safely, but he resisted and pulled back,falling to the ground below where he hit his head and died immediately .

After the incident, the police force of Stung Meanchey 1 and the military force of Meanchey district went to the scene to make a report. After a brief examination and questioning the witnesses, they concluded that the above man had actually killed himself, and they handed over the body to the family for traditional funeral rites.
