That's a fantastic addition to the landscape. The Bokor Palace Hotel looks like it's rapidly heading back to its previous state.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Fantastic indeed. Maybe it's the framework for the small toe of the foot of the future giant Buddha statue?John Bingham wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 11:59 pm

Or else, maybe a small (slightly crumpled, but not totally crushed) insect come to worship at the shrine ? Don't forget that this statue is going to be HUGE.

That all looks just horrible, what an epic line-up of eye sores.

Interesting location - just across from where the Chinese scam operations are ramping up again - good way to disguise all the comms equipment up thereCEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 10:58 pm H.E. Khieu Kanharith Inspects Planned Construction Site of Bokor Radio and Television Station

Just stumbled upon this thread.
From someone who hiked up Mt Bokor about a decade ago, I am speechless. Horrified.
It's the same in China and Vietnam. They will be annihlate anything and everything beautiful and natural in the name of $. To make matters worse, it's all in that disgusting faux-opulence style so prevalent in the region. Like an obnoxious homage to French architecture, but the fake gucci 40 cent equivalent of french architecture.
All done on the cheap with poor workmanship, so it ends up looking decrepit within 5 years.
I despair for the region over the next 10-20 years.
