Another impassioned article from KBN, this time denouncing the 24 hour gambling dens doing a roaring trade in Toul Kork district:
Image
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh), 30 December 2021: Mr. Sambath Kong's 24-Hour online gambling den known with the brand “23K, 22B, 15P, 11k, 8MB, 18MB, 26M and 18K” runs smoothly with no disturbance from the relevant authorities, not even Mr. Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh and Mr. Sar Thet, Phnom Penh Municipal Commissioner.
Sambath Kong's 24-hour online gambling is mushrooming in at least 100 places. The business offers many types of online gambling games including embedding gambling, betting on football and many other games which force the Cambodian people to fall into the pit full of evil. Despite this, the relevant authorities are visibly absent. They are not doing anything about this problem, because they have indeed lost to the owners of the gambling dens.

[CEO News: In case the authorities don't know where to find these gambling dens, KBN give some addresses to begin with. ]
In the territory of Tuol Kork district, there are the well known 24-hour online gambling sites which are located near each other: 18K brand located along Street 230, Boeung Sralang, Toul Kork, Net 24 hours and 27B brand, located along Street 182, located in Tuk Laok II, Toul Kork, and 15P gambling den and 8MB located along Street 289 in Boeung Kak 2, Toul Kork left untouched by Mr. Chea Pisey, the governor of Tuol Kork district.

As the days pass by, Sambath Kong earns tens of thousands of dollars because there are no less than 100 big betting sites in his hands under the brand names 23K, 22B, 15P, 11k, 8MB, 18MB, 26M and 18K. These gambling establishments open their doors daily to welcome gambling addicts day and night, providing a haven for drug traffickers, drug users, thieves and gangsters.

Regarding the complaints of gambling crime in the above locations, the public is impatient to see what actions Mr. Chea Pisey, Governor of Toul Kork District, Mr. Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh and Mr. Sar Thet, Phnom Penh Municipal Commissioner will take to establish law and order.
- KBN

[CEO News comment: As someone noted above, the KBN news outlet appears to be on a crusade against Phnom Penh's illegal gambling businesses. ]

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Local residents in Khan Meanchey are complaining that a Toto Cafe, located next to the house of the former Chief of Sangkat Stung Meanchey I, along Street 217 in Sangkat Stung Meanchey II, is being used as a gambling den for online betting on football and cockfights. They say that the cafe has a lot of customers and that everyone in the area knows that it is used for illegal gambling, yet the police never go there to inspect.

Therefore, the local people insist that the competent authorities of Meanchey district, led by the new district police chief, Lieutenant Colonel Ouk Bonin, should crackdown on this gambling den which attracts thieves, robbers, and drug addicts, making the area unsafe for families and young people.

More Phnom Penh residents are asking the police to clean up their neighborhood...words in the ears of the deaf for the moment .

April 22, 2022
Residents say that illegal gambling den ‘flourishing’ in Phnom Penh
Residents of Tuol Kork, Phnom Penh say they told authorities about an illegal gambling den in the district over a month ago – but it still operates unpunished.
Image
The den, which residents allege is located on Street 231, Sangkat Phsar Doeum Kor, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh has been open for around a year.

Residents say that it – and the area around it – is now infested with degenerate gamblers, hippies and other bad elements of society.

They say that it seems to operate under complete impunity from authorities and that, despite authorities being aware of it, no action has been taken.
Residents have now asked Tuol Kork district governor Chea Pisey and Tuol Kork district police chief Sok Heng to crack down on illegal gambling at the site, as gambling is a major source of theft and robbery, violence and other crimes.
