Health food store

Post by nndavid »

Been searching around on the net for a health food store in PP and have found a few (Aliments, Natural Garden etc) but was wondering if any of the good folk here could tell me about their favorite store/supplier. Can't seem to find fresh, unsweetened soy or almond milk, or psyllium husk (fiber source).I have also looked around in the supermarkets like Super Duper and the massive one in Aeon mall to no avail. Also, find the selection of Greek yogurt nonexistent or somewhat limited in these places.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone with info on the availability of these items or on health food stores in general in PP. Many thanks in advance!

Soy milk & almond milk I've seen plenty at Thai Huot TK over the years; if you saw already & it is sweetened, stiff poo; which leads me to ...

Psyllium husk; I had to look it up its so obscure - why not just use oats? The brands that supply this in the West can be found at Pharmacie de la Gare, but no idea if they stock this sorry.

(edit: greek yoghurt also at Thai Huot usually)

LoL my God, how times change.

Regarding your queries, I would check Natural Garden or Aliments. As for Greek yogurt, you can order some from Elia Greek Restaurant, and a few others stock some such as Super Duper and occasionally some other marts (from a local small scale producer). You won't find any fat-free, high protein Greek yogurt or anything like that though.

Thanks a lot. I am a fan of Greek cuisine so will find my way to Elia Greek Restaurant, for more than just the yogurt! Maybe a moussaka and a greek salad too! :)
