Shootout as Largescale Illegal Drug Production Found in Warehouse
Cambodia News(Kampong Speu): On 12 December 2021, Anti-Drug Police of the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the police forces from four provinces, cracked down on a large-scale drug trafficking which involved an armed clash with the drug trafficking gang. The armed showdown took place near a mango confectionery factory, located in Dambang Venh Village, Sangke Satop Commune, Oral District, Kampong Speu Province.
During the operation, the police confiscated more than 1,400 kilograms of drugs and exhibits related to some crimes. One suspect was killed while two others were arrested.
The crackdown escalated into an armed clash on National Road 4, in which a Chinese national was killed in action while the drug dealers were transporting drugs to Sihanoukville. This was according to HE Khieu Kanharith's Facebook account disclosing that "A Chinese national died on the spot after a shootout with police during a crackdown on drug trafficking involving about 1,400 kilograms on 12 December 2021." The Chinese national who died was one of the drug dealers who shot at the police, who then fired back and killed him.
The suspects involved in the arrest were 1: LEE TSUNG HAN, 32 years old, male, Chinese, Taiwan (died from shooting).
2: LY POHAN*, male, 32 years old, Taiwanese (drug driver).
3: LY POHAN*, male, 47, male, Chinese, Taiwan (Chief of drug processing)
Evidences confiscated comprised of 74 bags of suspected ketamine powder packaged in 20 bags, weighing 1,480 kilograms, one K54 handgun, two cars, some chemicals and some drug processing equipment.
*Edit: The dead man has now been identified as LEE TSUNG HAN, while the other suspect is LEE PO HAN, both Taiwanese nationals.

That's an insane amount of Ketamine.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
Re: Shootout as Largescale Illegal Drug Production Found in Mango Factory
It is indeed, an amount that could only be produced illicitly. Another irony of the drug war is you used to be able to easily buy vials of pharma grade ketamine, but they cracked down on it which created an enormous market for illicitly produced and less safe Ketamine and it seems to me that use/demand has only skyrocketed in the past 20 years. These guys are Taiwanese so probably triads planning to export, but even in Cambo/Thailand Ket is becoming more and more popular with locals

Sounds like a Rich-Farm indeed.
Re: Shootout as Largescale Illegal Drug Production Found in Mango Factory
Bad news in a few ways, using a weapon against the police, someone being killed, and that number of drugs being produced here.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
Re: Shootout as Largescale Illegal Drug Production Found in Mango Factory
Interesting. The directors of Richfarm Asia certainly ain't nobodies.
Re: Shootout as Largescale Illegal Drug Production Found in Mango Factory
That's a completely different company, it's RichFarm Asia, not Rich Farm.
Re: Shootout as Largescale Illegal Drug Production Found in Mango Factory
I can tell you for a absolute fact RichFarm Asia Co Ltd. Is not in anyway shape or form related to this bust. I know many of the people that work there and they are the most standup people you would ever meet.

I suppose when you have that much shit a shootout with the cops and dieing is the best option.
Can't believe they jammed that much into a car instead of a truck, but what do I know about such things.
Cambodia can't get enough of these lovely people.

I'm standing up, so I must be straight.
