Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): This morning, on 6 December 2021, a woman suddenly collapsed and died of a heart attack while walking on a road in Sen Sok at 6am, causing a shock to the people passing by.

The incident occured along Street 271, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, and the deceased was identified as Chan Vuthy, a 38 year old woman scrap metal scavenger living in Khan Meanchey. According to the relatives of the deceased, the woman was a single mother with seven sons and daughters. She succumbed to the regular use of drugs, because she became depressed after her husband divorced her.

Sources at the scene said that they saw Chan Vuthy walking along the street collecting scrap metal that morning, when suddenly she suffered a heart attack, collapsed on the street and died immediately. Witnesses reported this to the local police immediately after the incident and an autopsy team inspected the body at the scene.
Experts confirmed that Chan Vuthy had a heart attack, caused by suffocation due to an overdose of drugs. The body was handed over to the family for funeral rites. RIP.
