Apparently his offence was wearing that tie, and doing up both buttons on a two-button suit jacket (not the done thing old bean)

It must have been.
Even in Australia they refused to arrest him, or curtail Suncity's drug money laundering business with the country's largest and most regulated casinos, for simply being a major triad crime boss.
The old Elliot Ness/Al Capone trick.
They couldn't get him for racketeering so he is destined to die in gaol of syphilis for his fashion crimes instead.
