Tuktuk Drivers Come to Bloody Blows Fighting Over Customers
Times are tough.
[/b]Cambodia News[/b](Phnom Penh) On 22 November 2021, at 1:00 pm, a tuktuk driver was injured in the head in a dispute over a customer, along the Russian Federation Road, Sen Sok District, Phnom Penh.
According to sources at the scene, the incident happened when a group of tuktuk drivers were waiting to solicit people getting out of a shared taxi, which was letting off passengers who came in from the provinces at the site.
One of the passengers from the taxi attempted to get on to one of the tuktuks, but was stopped by another driver who grabbed the passenger to come with him. However, the passenger who got out of the taxi did not want to ride in the tuktuk of the man who grabbed him, and decided continue with the first auto-rickshaw as agreed.
However, the driver who had tried to grab the passenger was angry that he lost his customer, and began to fight with the first tuktuk driver, and during the course of the argument, the second tuktuk driver (the one who grabbed the passenger) pushed the first driver, who fell over and injured his head, resulting in profuse bleeding.
The second auto-rickshaw driver was arrested by police for interrogation at the district police station while the first auto-rickshaw driver was sent to hospital for treatment.

Re: Tuktuk Drivers Come to Bloody Blows Fighting Over Customers
My understanding of the word Tuk Tuk, is that it originated in Thailand, when the motorized samlo ( rickshaw ) was introduced.
The sound of the engine , was similar to a clucky chook , so Tuk Tuk was adapted into common Thai language. when describing the new form of transport.
So this incident, could be headlined 'COCKFIGHT on RUSSIAN FEDERATION'

Re: Tuktuk Drivers Come to Bloody Blows Fighting Over Customers
I've always hated the gaggle of tuk tuk cunts surrounding the arriving bus/taxi and simultaneously shouting, grabbing, fucking with luggage attempting to load you onto their shit chariot for an overpriced ride
So I always fuck them all off and walk myself a block or two to hail another who wasn't part of the prick posse to take me to where I want to go
