According to the police, on November 2, at 10:30 am a hotel employee reported that an anonymous man delivered a suspicious package to hotel room 1105. The police found a substance suspected to be ketamine, which had apparently been ordered on wechat by the suspect.

The suspect is being detained and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.

OK, ordering drugs into a quarantine hotel is probably not a good move. But what made the package suspicious? Did it have "KETAMINE" stamped all over it?

Sometimes they search the packages, or maybe the delivery guy slipped past the front desk and was apprehended by security while leaving ? :chin:

More like the chap did his ordering independently, not going through the channels of inhouse, that would have left someone's cut out of the deal.

Yes, he obviously bypassed the ketamine dealer they have working in every hotel.

The package was suspicious because it was 1" x 2" and contained a white powder.

OK, I'm speculating here - If the package had KETAMINE written on it in huge letters - would that have made a difference ? Would anyone at the hotel know what that means ?

Well back in the old days it used to be sold like this in pharmacies. It still is but it's restricted, it's an essential medication. :

These days much of it is manufactured illicitly in a country a bit to the north. It seems to be usually sold in a powdered form.
I can't imagine anything worse than taking K in a club/KTV here with crazy local techno/rap etc blasting. Fuck that. :?
