Prawns - Peeled, Cooked & Frozen

Post by Doc67 »

Does anyone know where to buy some?

I was thinking either Makro, Thai Hout or Bayon but don't want to trek about when the wisdom of the members can be drawn upon.

I saw some in Super Duper once that looked older than me and were about $15 for a small bag.

Any suggestions?

As always, many thanks in advance...

I've seen them at Angkor Mart, st 456 and sometimes at the Lucky express across the street. It's also available for delivery online, https://delishop.asia/vanamei-prawn-hea ... -on-frozen

You also want them de-veined. I would also want to know where they are caught. The good stuff, as an earlier poster posted, is going to be exey and therefore rarer.
I will find out when I eventually go for my nightly, daytime-intended walk. Standby.

Don't come the raw prawn with me mate!

Sorry- I've just always wanted to use that one. Aussie slang is the best. 😉

I can't say I have heard that particular one, but I am happy I could feed you your lines :D

 I have an idea for a thread; the best Aussie phrases, I've learnt quite a few during my time here. Maybe something for the asinine section.

Fair suck o' the sav, mate! That's an Austrian sayin'.

The prawns I've been testing have been dry and tasteless, which could be storage, refreezing, freezer-burnt, cooking skills amiss, Covid, but I am dining at Oscars this evening, because I am superior to others, so I shall make enquiries thusly.
