I think it is more about getting fucked. I think it was something about her self-esteem. She might had thought about so many things before she decided to end her life.

I wish they could start a new trend like this in America. Woman gets pissed off at the man and instead of getting a restraining order against him, taking away everything in his life and his children and getting everything in divorce, she hangs herself. I hope it catch's on. I'd even contribute to a fund in the US to provide free rope. Just think, a "Rope Hotline" and free delivery.

Maybe the husband was gay. Or maybe she'd been waiting so long and had an insatiable sexual appetite, so she couldn't take it. Either way, it's not like the whole village knew he wasn't sleeping with her, so I don't see it as a loss of face issue. Really strange.

It would be interesting to be able to calculate a correlation between the rise of social media in Asia and attention-seeking suicide. I imagine there would be a strong link. In hometown Australia suicide numbers are now banned from media publication as it is shown to have a direct effect on copycat suicides.
