Re: Useful IT shit
Lol, again, OP didn't have a question to answer. Stop trying to move the goal posts. You said that you can't install Windows on D. You are wrong. I explained briefly how drives are setup and why the letters aren't really the main point but you don't seem to get it because here we are again.
I don't have step by step instructions for configuring a dual boot windows machine, but I'm sure I could troubleshoot it, but that's neither here nor there because that wasn't the question... and why would anyone want to dual boot the same shitty OS anyway?
Read again though. There was no question in OP, but you made the false statement that you cannot install Windows on "D" and you can; you can make a partition called "X" and put it on there too. The letter is irrelevant. It is one thing to not know something and another entirely pretend you do and give out bad advice, which is what you did.
Stop embarrassing yourself and stop giving out bad tech advice. I'm done responding to this nonsense.

You can have as many operating systems as you want you can even load them on to portable drives and change when ever you'd like.Basic Instinct wrote:Sweety look this with windows and linux is quite clear - we don't have to waste time with that. We are going into an argument for nothing - pointless. You should show/explain the original poster how to install windows on drive C and drive D simultaneously -that's it - You do that and everybody will be happy.
I personally say that installing an operating system that way is not possible.
Waiting desperately for your input.
I've had machines with windows, linux, and android all on the same machine even all on the same drive if you want.
This guys brain has been damaged by bad bottled water as you'll notice from his other posts it limits his ability to listen to others.

1. Any idiot can install Windows on any drive. As proof, I did it.
2. I didn't say I had dual boot, people assumed that.
My old Windows was on C, I got a virus, crash and lost some data.
I reinstalled to D, but some other software would not run.
So I installed to default C drive, and wanted to wipe the Old Windows installation from D. That's when takeownership was needed.
Carry on killing each other, it's amusing.
Now, anyone else find some useful IT tweaks lately?

Many times security software creates an administrator that has ultimate control and needs to disable or modify permissions on those before copying some files that is probably what the software does for you.vladimir wrote:1. Any idiot can install Windows on any drive. As proof, I did it.

The programs can't just be copied or moved to another drive most will have to be reinstalled on that drive.

Next time just Google it. There are no problems with having multiple installations of Windows on the same drive as long as it's partitioned correctly (minimum one partition per installation). Windows bootloaders are compatible with Windows. It's not a problem.Basic Instinct wrote:Sweety look this with windows and linux is quite clear - we don't have to waste time with that.
