Indeed, they urged Aussies to return home and if not, outlined the possibility of being locked out and the resultant risks of living abroad during a pandemic.

So this is a false assertion right from the get go.when the pandemic struck we were told by the Australian government to shelter in place if we had stable employment, housing and community which I did, I chose to stay

You must have missed this bit, "Earliest seats available for Phnom Penh-Brisbane"ali baba wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 12:16 pmWhy are they offering a flight in February if this conversation took place 3 weeks ago?Username Taken wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 4:37 am Three weeks ago, I contacted Singapore airlines to find out how much it would cost to fly 2 adults from Phnom Penh to Brisbane via Singapore. Below is the actual quote from SIA:
"From Singapore Airlines Chat (29Sep21):
Earliest seats available for Phnom Penh-Brisbane will be on 08 February 2021 in Business Flexi fare at USD2873.40 per passenger as of now.
Total for two passengers will be USD5746.80 as of now."
How much does Singapore Airlines charge to travel 8 months back in time?
Keep in mind that this conversation took place 2 days before Morrison announced an opening of the borders.
Also, at the time, there was no hurry for flights to travel to Australia because there were very few passengers able to make the airlines return out of Oz financially worthwhile.

I think @ali baba was pointing out the date. The flight left 10 months ago. I assume SIA meant 08 February 2022?Username Taken wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 12:51 pmYou must have missed this bit, "Earliest seats available for Phnom Penh-Brisbane"ali baba wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 12:16 pmWhy are they offering a flight in February if this conversation took place 3 weeks ago?Username Taken wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 4:37 am Three weeks ago, I contacted Singapore airlines to find out how much it would cost to fly 2 adults from Phnom Penh to Brisbane via Singapore.
