Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 6:00 am on October 15, 2021, in Sangkat Phsar Thmey 2, Khan Doun Penh, a motor-taxi driver got his motorbike stolen after he was accused of attempted rape by a strange woman customer.

According to the motor-taxi driver himself, he was called by a woman on the street to take her to a destination, but, when they got there, she told him that she did not have cash with her, and she offered to sleep with the driver in a guesthouse instead.
When the driver refused the woman's offer, she said she would accuse him of rape, and she began to shout out "thief" multiple times, until a mysterious man clothed in a suspicious-looking military uniform came out and fought with the driver, stole his motorbike, and drove away.

The driver then went to the Phsar Thmey 2 police station to file a report on his stolen vehicle.
He told police that he could not care less about how that woman claimed that he tried to rape her because it is not true, and he just wanted his motorbike back as it is his only source of income.
The police have not made any comments on this incident.
