Sir David Amess: Conservative MP dies after stabbing
Re: Sir David Amess: Conservative MP dies after stabbing
Yeah, generally full volume by some nutter with hair growing out of his nose and 3 days egg on his shirt. These things need to be discussed.
If you think it is going to make a difference- carry on.
To me it just seems like rantings of a disaffected old guy on the run from a society he perceives to be broken ( and unwilling to do anything to change it other than whine ) rather than society undergoing inevitable historic changes.
During crisis, nothing helps like finding some group to blame rather than looking at the causes.
If only they were all like me there would not be a problem

Funny, I trimmed my nose hair this morning. Every Sunday morning!nemo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 4:58 pmYeah, generally full volume by some nutter with hair growing out of his nose and 3 days egg on his shirt. These things need to be discussed.

I am generally impressed with the level of debate at CEO.

Yah I lean against the wall to do it because of the tremor.
We are not here for long and decrying reality is futile.
Who cares anyway?
I am not British, but while the murder of this guy is horrible, there is really no need to try and make some imaginary political capital from these events.
I doubt many people here give a shit.
If they did they would change things in their own cuntry instead of crying impotently from a safe distance.
I live in Cambodia- where none of this shit occurs.
Maybe there is a reason for that.

You don't read the local news? Daily stories of utterly meaningless killings over $10, let alone religious or political ideals.

Really? I read a lot of crazy crime stories here on CEO. Plus, Cambodia is not exactly a superpower or a global player. Finally, you guys have access to the fun part of Third World living: cheap beer and pussy.
Re: Sir David Amess: Conservative MP dies after stabbing
But they are not terrorist events, which is pretty much the subject of this thread now.
Criminals come in all flavors, sometimes they are motivated by ideology, but all murderers who choose innocent victims are in some degree crazy.
Crazy is pretty common.

It's funny but do you actually know about Cambodian history. They don't get stabbed to death they blown up with hand grenades.nemo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 5:19 pm Yah I lean against the wall to do it because of the tremor.

Fair point. Do you get a lot of political violence over there? In Japan, a couple of mayors of Nagasaki have suffered assassination attempts. One successful.

A Rwandan man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a Roman Catholic priest in western France.
The body of Olivier Maire was found in the village of Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre in the Vendée area on Monday morning. The unnamed suspect, a failed asylum seeker housed by the priest, turned himself in and confessed, reports say. The 40-year-old man is also suspected of starting a fire that seriously damaged the cathedral in nearby Nantes in July last year.
