Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A 71-year-old man was found stabbed to death in a pool of blood, surprising the authorities, who came down to cordon off the body on the morning of October 8, 2021, in a wood factory plantation in Koh Krabei village, Sangkat Prek Thmey, Khan Chbar Ampov.

Authorities said that the murdered man, 71-year-old At Sot, alias Ta Yet, was a land guard, who had broken up with his ex-wife many years ago and was now living with his second wife, Yeay Pao.

Sources from the people at the scene said, that on that night, around midnight, they heard the grandmother [Yeay Pao] screaming for help, saying, "My husband has been killed!"
After the incident, local authorities, in cooperation with the municipal forensic police, cordoned off the scene and brought Yeay Pao, the deceased's next wife, for questioning.


According to the autopsy of the Municipal Police, Dr. Nong Sovannaroth confirmed that the victim's body had a cut on the right side of his neck, a cut on his shoulder, two stab wounds in his spine, and one cut to his head: a total of five slashes and stab wounds.

So far, the authorities are continuing to search very carefully to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice. At present, the body has been handed over to the family for a traditional ceremony.
