Cambodia News, (Pursat Province): According to the preliminary report, on the morning of Friday, October 8, 2021, the body of a woman was found outside a guesthouse in Pursat city, which surprised the people and the authorities.

The source added that the body of the victim in the blanket and rug has not been identified yet, but the manager at the site said that he saw a person lifting a package to put it on a motorcycle. At first the manager thought that the person was stealing equipment from the guesthouse, so he ran to see, but the man dropped the package and fled on a motorcycle. When examined, the package contained the body of a dead woman, much to the shock of the guesthouse staff. However, it has not yet been confirmed by the relevant authorities that this is a murder case, but the investigation is on-going. Stay tuned for further details.

Finally, the Pursat murderer, who ran off leaving a woman's dead body wrapped in a blanket in front of a guesthouse, has been arrested 7 months after the crime, which took place in October last year.


Cambodia News(Pursat): On 5 May 2022, police in Pursat City arrested a suspect for the murder of his girlfriend, and packing her corpse in a blanket on 6 October 2021, which he dropped in front of a guesthouse in Pursat, when guesthouse staff asked what he was doing. The suspected murderer then escaped to another guest house (Yinsin Thmey) where he stayed in Room 6.
The victim was 39-year-old Srey No who was from Tuol Krous Village, Chamroeun Phal Commune, Pursat City, Pursat Province.

The perpetrator was arrested by the police this week at a rented house in Peal Nhek 1 Village, Phteah Prey Commune, Pursat City. Currently, the above suspect is still being investigated by the Pursat Provincial Police Commission, who are preparing the case to be sent to the provincial court for processing.
