Joe Biden's alleged mental decline

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

I do it on a small stage & it is nerve racking, very rewarding afterwards but as scary as fu%k beforehand & when you are up there.
I enlarge the lettering & read from a script in point form & still can get it wrong.

Seriously? what?

Biden was elected to the US Senate in 1972. That's a nigh on 40 year period as a politician and you're excusing his actions as "stage fright"?
Maybe :boring:

In retrospect, VP Biden may have been assassination insurance for Obama.

Out of a pool of, lets say, 200 million eligible people who could potentially run for president, Joe Biden wouldn't have a hope in hells chance. Neither would Trump. The only reason they become president is because the choice has already been whittled down to just two options before you're even given a say.

And that's democracy folks!

Make all lobbying and campaign funding completely illegal.
Great idea. In theory.

Might work for multi year positions (4 years for President), 6 years for senators.

But how about positions with 1 year terms?

Every person comes in with a new agenda.

Can you imagine public policy from the village to the federal level abruptly changing year to year? No continuity of government. Chaos.

As to the issue of lobbying and campaign funding being made illegal..

1. How are people going to know who is running that year?
2. What’s lobbying? Writing to one’s public official for redress of grievances?

Or else one could just live in a totalitarian regime. There is no lobbying, no campaign funding.

The system is imperfect and can always be improved. No need to throw out the whole system.

Just my thoughts.
What elected office has a one-year term?

In reality, Biden has been forgetting names and stumbling through speeches all his life. I am not American, so it does not really matter, but another 4 years of the Orange Clown would have been devastating for the USA.

Interesting point. As a former Trump supporter, I can't really say which would be worse. They both suck in their own ways.

I voted for Obama and he sucked, too. Seeing a pattern.

While they continue to sell themselves for cash the problem will continue.

Look how they handled Bernie in the primaries.

If they won't play ball, they don't make the ballot.

I just happened to listen to a speech Biden gave in 2013. It was so bad, back then already, that I fail to see any decline.

And I say this as someone who voted for the man, and would do so again, considering the alternative.

What has been devastating has been the 20+ year run of mediocre to truly pathetic leadership the country has suffered through.
