Do you agree with mandatory vaccinations

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

They’re being called stupid if their chain of logic is “you said masks weren’t necessary and then you said they were so I’m gonna choose to believe the first thing you said cause that’s what suits me best, and if anyone dies as a result of my actions then fuckem it’s your fault.”
Well, this is my 'chain of logic', but I'm not stupid.

Selfish, puttin' oneself first, not public-spirited, uncharitable....yeah, yeah.
But labeling everyone what doesn't slavishly follow the common wisdom as "stupid".
That's a 'no'.
I kind of feel like you missed the entire point of the post. You're not stupid for questioning the orthodoxy, you're stupid for doing it in a stupid way.

Either that or your contention is that you're not stupid, ...[Mod edit: no need for name calling]

I'm sure a low death rate is great consolation to the families of the 658k and counting dead in the US.
Well, I'm pretty sure what's definitely not a great consolation to these poor families who lost loved ones is the fact that the guy in charge of the Covid response was laughing and calling people paranoid for wearing masks when directly asked about it in public, and even told everyone they shouldn't be wearing masks, both in 2019 and 2020, and then later helped mandate them in places. He was 'sure' of it in 2020. Very sad. But I'm more interested in the data than the emotions, as emotions seem to be what could be driving the 'science' in the wrong directions.

2019:

2020:

Sebastian Gorka? Yikes.

Hospitals in various areas of the country, especially in unvaccinated areas of the South, are at capacity with their ICUs. Or maybe they're crisis actors? I'm rather sure they're not full of people with complications from either vaccines or mask wearing. Are you seriously going to question who's dying from Covid now? I'm less interested in diddling over which numbers to believe or not believe than I am in freeing up hospital beds and particularly ICUs now occupied by unvaccinated people. As others have noted the science is an ongoing effort, no need to repeat Fauci was wrong, you've made the point. People don't want to wear masks or get vaccinated or want to wait 10 years to see long term vaccine effects on menstruation that's their choice. Just stay at home while the rest of us get on with our lives. And keep your kids at home too

Sebastian Gorka?? Jeez.

Oh for those without a NYT subscription, With the applause of conservative media US taxpayers are being billed currently $350 million per week for Covid antibodies treatments , almost all for unvaccinated individuals, 70 percent of orders coming from 7 southern states.

How much are we being billed for health care, housing, flights, welfare and other benefits for all the additional illegal immigrants flooding into the country ever since the Biden administration took over?

Gotta love how in every discussion about money with a conservative there is a pivot to immigration. Like the billions wanted for a wall that immigrants could cut through or climb over with a ladder didn’t phase them. Even when that money was diverted from the precious military. Next will come homeless veterans. It’s always “whataboutism.”

That's weird, it should show up. I can see it.

You're a YES? I wouldn't have guessed, lol. All good brother, no point in a poll if it's something we all agree on. :good:
