Miss Cambodia Comes in 6th Place !

Indonesia: Following the results of the Miss Grand International 2022 final, which took place on the night of October 25 in Indonesia, all Cambodians are very proud of their candidate, Ms Pich Votey Saravody, because she did very well to reach the top 10.

Please be informed that the Miss Grand International 2022 crown went to Brazil, the first runner up went to Thailand, the second place went to Indonesia, the third place went to Venezuela and the fourth place to the Czech Republic. Ms Pich Votey Saravody came in next as fifth runner up.

I Resign, says Cambodian Beauty Queen

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Many fans were shocked to see the letter of resignation by the Miss Grand Cambodia first runner-up, Hang Soryan, announcing the termination of her position as a Miss Grand Cambodia representative.

Srey Sath Hang Soryan is seen by observers as a strong candidate who has experience in repeated competitions and has arrived in the Top 10 in the Miss Earth and Miss Universe Cambodia pageant 2022. Fans were celebrating as she became the first runner-up in Miss Grand Cambodia, so why has she resigned ?

It is said that because Srey Sath Soryan was upset, because she did not get much support from her superiors, and she could not take the opportunity to go abroad to compete, because it appears that if she wants to go to the international competition, she needs to find the money to pay for it herself.

Ms Hang Soryan Wishes to Resign (next episode)

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Mr. In Sophin, General Director of Mahahang Company, said that until now, his company has not yet approved the resignation of the first runner-up in 2022, Miss Hang Soryan.

Mr. In Sophin's claim comes after Ms. Hang Soryan issued an open letter requesting her resignation from the position of first runner-up in the beauty pageant Miss Grand Cambodia 2022 recently.

In relation to the above issue, Mr. In Sophin confirmed to Koh Santepheap by email on November 14, 2022, that although Ms. Hang Soryan is requesting to resign at the moment, Mahahang Company has not yet agreed, and he would like to discuss this matter directly with Hang Soryan on his return from the US, where he is currently supervising the Cambodian contestants of the Miss Teen Universe 2022 pageant.

The oft criticised Miss Grand Cambodia beauty pageant – which came under a storm of criticism earlier this year over accusations of ‘obscene and inappropriate’ costumes – is now under new management

The organisation has announced that former manager In Sophin has stepped down and, in his place, Ms. Im Sokunthea has become the new National Director and Miss Som Sarapech is the new Vice President of Miss Grand Cambodia.

Beauty Queen cancelled trip to international pageant due to ‘lack of funds’

Miss Grand Cambodia 2022 runner up, Hang Soryan, has spoken of her bitter disappointment in being forced to cancel a trip to participate in the Miss Earth International 2022 pageant in Manila, Philippines due to lack of funding.

The Miss Earth International 2022 pageant was held in November 2022, but Ms Hang was unable to attend due to the expenses involved.

Ms Hang stated that she still hopes to become a candidate to represent Cambodia in any beauty pageant and that she will not disappoint her fans.
