Mekong Express Building Caught Fire in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A fire broke out at 9:20 am on September 10, 2021, located at the office of the Mekong Express Transport Company, National Road No. 5, Sangkat Toul Sangke I, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.

Colonel Prohm Yorn, director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, said that the fire, which took place on the third floor of the building, was started by faulty electric wiring. Fortunately, it was extinguished by 10:45am, nobody was injured, and the fire did not cause damage to neighboring properties. The damage is estimated at around US$10,000.
