Sihanoukville Police Arrest 4 Chinese Nationals for Illegal Weapons

Cambodia News, (Preah Sihanouk Province): Sihanoukville Police led by Lieutenant Colonel Visal, arrested 4 Chinese nationals in connection with the illegal use of firearms on the night of September 1, 2021, along Ekareach Street (No. 100), corner of Street 200, near ABA Bank, in downtown Sihanoukville.
According to police, prior to the arrest, two groups of Chinese men were arguing, causing public violence, and some of the men were armed. This incident took place near the Golden Lions Roundabout, with a violent verbal dispute over money between the Chinese at the scene. Concerned local residents then called the authorities to report the incident.

A group of armed men in a white Lexus GS300, with license plate Phnom Penh 2BF 7554, drove from the scene towards Independence Road, but while the car was traveling to the intersection in front of ABA Bank, Sihanoukville police intercepted the vehicle and arrested four Chinese men, confiscated a weapon, and took them to the Sihanoukville Provincial Police Commissioner for questioning and to build a case according to the procedure.

Cambodia News, Sihanoukville: Please be informed that on September 1, 2021 at 21:30, a Chinese person called the hotline of Sihanoukville Provincial Police to report that there were 4 Chinese people driving around in a white Lexus GS300 car, (Phnom Penh 2BF-7554), who had pulled out a pistol and threatened to shoot him.

Police located the Lexus and searched it, finding 2 pistols and ammunition: a ROLO S & W.357 MAGNUM, ID number 6 E2VP13-2106010, with 6 bullets, and a CZ75 brand with serial number 20-01216, with 31 9mm bullets, were discovered on the rear seat floor of the car.

Police confiscated the firearms and the Lexus, and the criminal police is now building a case to send the four Chinese men to the Sihanoukville Provincial Court for legal action.
