It’s not really about the accuracy, it’s the perception that creates the problem.
Maybe they don’t care- but not caring is one thing, not being aware is quite another.

What's wrong with the video? It just shows people being gently arrested for breaking COVID lockdown rules. How is that a PR nightmare?

Have you not seen cops arresting people in Australia, France and elsewhere over Covid rules being broken?

Why would there be a perception that gays are being persecuted if if there's no evidence that the gay bar was targeted due to bigotry and if the bar was clearly and blatantly violating rules that apply to all bars?

Are there any reports of what happened to them afterwards?
Such as:
COVID tests and what cost, if any.
Standard 'fines' to get out of it all
Any other prosecution action
Have they all been released?

It would be interesting to know what's in store for people in such places.

I'd imagine they got brought to the cop shop and tested, some may be fined but the owner will be getting squeezed.

I was having a quiet beer when I heard them ripping down a bar's signs, nearby. I just about jumped out of my secretary! So, it wasn't just the gay bar, but it was just that establishment incurring arrests.
They possibly were ordered to be seen to be holding up the letter, with the wanton disrespect of bars and patrons going about the night scene as per usual albeit, with less options. So they began the elimination process:
"Ok, moving along, let's try another one...Does anyone have a girlfriend at Chili's?"
I wonder if Chili's were telling regulars to come in their back door?
