Cambodia News (Kandal Province): On August 23, 2021, at 8:30 pm in Deum Rus village/commune, Kandal Steung district, Ron Sambath, a 22-year-old man who lives in the neighborhood was arrested, after Khean Heang, a 74-year-old man who also lives in the neighborhood, reported to the police about a regular public disturbance caused by the alleged suspect.



According to the police, on 22 August, at 10:00 pm the suspect threw rocks at the victim's house many times damaging the zinc roof, and then the suspect ran back into his home. The victim of the attack was upset and came outside of his damaged house and yelled out with rage to find out who did that to his house. So then the alleged suspect came out to claim that he was the one who did it, and started to attack the victim. Fortunately, the suspect's mother stepped in and stopped the fight.

Nonetheless, the suspect was detained by police and is awaiting trial for the offenses.
