Chinese Construction Workers' Quarters Up in Flames
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 10:20 pm on August 17, 2021, on Street 60, in Prek Tanu village, Khan Mean Chey, Phnom Penh, a Chinese construction dormitory was engulfed in flames, destroying many of the container houses which served as living quarters for the workers.
The place was run by a 38-year-old man named Ben Sennarong, the general manager at the site. Fortunately, there was no injuries or death.
The flames were extinguished by the firefighters successfully at 10:50 pm, preventing them from spreading to neighboring buildings.
