Man Arrested for Stealing Garbage Cart

Cambodia News (Kandal Province): On August 10, 2021, at 2:03 pm in Takhmao 1, Sangkat/City Takkhmao, a 25-year-old homeless man, whose name is Sovann Savra, living under the Takhmao bridge, stole a garbage cart belonging to a 67-year-old public park/street cleaner, whose name's Toch Chok, who lives and works in Takhmao city. The suspect was detained after the police found him with 2 garbage carts: 1 with wheels and 1 without.

Before the incident, the victim left his cart at the park by the riverside to have lunch at home. When he returned, the cart was gone. It had been stolen and was about to be sold to a junk collector. The suspect had been held in custody awaiting trial.

At least he's fixed his homelessness situation.
