Many Americans hold political positions that are a combination of Dem and Rep. Pity we don't have more political options.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 2:23 pm Mostly libertarian (90%+) and thus to the right, but with some oddly left-leaning beliefs. For example, education and healthcare should be free or close to it. Not because I'm a socialist, but because I think it makes for a more level economic playing field. This automatically would put me at odds of most Republicans, for example.

Centre left with a lean toward human dignity and a cultural influence in-keeping with adherence to "our way of life, and rules", the latter of the latter bringing me back to the centre.
Politically business-friendly to the world and encouraging entrepreneurship within.
I go left with social purpose policies encompassing human/animal rights, high on environmental concerns with climate goals, commitment to social justice, gender and racial equality. However, religious freedom brings me back to the centre (I wouldn't know what to do to fix it, but any disruptions, and I would like to see a strong stand against this proven con/misconception being brainwashed into innocent minds).
A trustworthy government in situations like we find ourselves in now, wherever that rates. Abe Lincoln will do just fine.

Nah. Some would say otherwise, but I think that wanting baseline literacy and health for a nation's populace isn't all that radical. I'd wager that a fair number of conservatives support some socialized sectors to some extent (interstates, police, libraries, medicare, etc.).Chuck Borris wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 1:22 pm If I say that education and health care should be free (paid trough taxes) make me this communist/socialist/leftist?

I debated this topic and inappropriately taxation of the billionaires with (some) Americans and they accused me of being communists.Little_Vicious wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 4:31 pmNah. I think you would have a hard time finding a real communist these days.
They are mostly crypto capitalist authoritarian fascists.
