Another despairing tuktuk driver jumps from Chroy Changvar bridge:
Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: A man driving an Indian tuktuk jumped from the Chroy Changvar Bridge to end his life, leaving his wife and two young children behind, and leaving a pair of shoes, a mobile phone, some money and a tricycle at the scene.
This sad event occurred at 1 am on August 31, 2021 on the Cambodia-Japan Friendship Bridge in Chroy Changvar, Sangkat Chroy Changvar, Khan Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh.
According to the source, the victim, Toch Vanna, 30 years old, was a motorbike broker in Orussey, but he didn't make much money, so he bought a tuktuk to earn extra income for his family.

Re: Life Not Easy for Tuktuk Drivers Either
Be nice to these guys, please
They must be doing it hard. Especially, probably, the ones who try to make their living from us.
Offering them respect is a good one.
You have to find that respect for them within yourself first, to make it real. to make it work.
Giving a broke man dignity won't fill his stomach but it might just save his life.
Taking a ride will help too.

I don't think many drivers are relying on foreigners these days.SternAAlbifrons wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 4:20 pm Especially, probably, the ones who try to make their living from us.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
