16Yo Girl Knifed in Covid Center Argument

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A man who was a Covid-19 patient used a knife to attack a girl, on July 24, 2021, at Olympic Station Covid-19 treatment center, in Sangkat Veal Vong, Khan Prampi Makara, Phnom Penh.

The victim was identified as Ouch Reachny, 16 years old, who was also a Covid-19 patient. The suspect and the victim argued with each other, so then, the suspect used a knife to slice the victim's throat. The doctor team helped the victim and detained the suspect until police arrived.

I'd look more into stories, it's not good to get all your information from one place.
That article claims the assailant was a drug dealer (with mental illness). It does not mention anything about the victim socialising with him

The socializing and arguing are mentioned in several other Khmer news articles

Wow. That's a really twisted way of looking at an attack on a young girl.

The girl was there with her mother if that makes a difference to you. They are at the Olympic stadium with covid. The girl received 10 stitches on her arm and 4 on her neck after a maniac attacked her with a knife.

Teenage girl stabbed in Phnom Penh COVID centre by ‘mentally ill’ man
A seemingly unprovoked attack left a teenager with injuries at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh yesterday.

16-year-old Ouch Reachni – the sister of well known Cambodian boxer Ouch Thearith – needed multiple stiches to her neck and wrists when a ‘mentally ill’ man attacked her.

According to sources, the injuries were sustained when she tried to protect herself from the assailant, who was wielding a knife.

The assailant then stabbed himself. Both victim and assailant were then taken to hospital for treatment.
