Visa expectations
Visa expectations
What are the expectations abortus the visa in Cambodia?
Our plan was to visit cambodia in Decembre, 1 khmer passport en 2 Kids with dutch passport, are there any rumours about the visa regulations? And when cambodia is open for tourist again?

Re: Visa expectations
You won't be coming here in December. No tourist Visas.

Re: Visa expectations
Seems unlikely to me that they will have tourist visas by December. BUT then the're on track to complete vaccinating over 18s by October and will presumably have finished 12-17yos by December. Their policy seems to be 'jab and let rip', so you never know, they might just do it.

Re: Visa expectations
Keep an eye on the news. Schools are still closed, they will not open up the country before schools are up and running safely.
They're vaccinating like crazy but the effects seem limited to me. Time will tell if these vaccinations are the way out, or not.
It's too early now to predict with certainty but my bets are on 'no tourist visa' this December.

Re: Visa expectations
Cambodian passport holders no problem as no visa is required.
If the 2 kids were born to a Cambodian, then they are eligible for, and need to obtain, K-type (Special) Visas in advance from a Cambodian Embassy/Consulate, free of charge and valid for the lifetime of the passport.
Assuming you are Dutch, and residing in the Netherlands, then you will need to (under current restrictions) contact the Cambodian Embassy in Belgium to confirm what their criteria is for the issuing of the E-type (Ordinary/Business) Visa. People have managed to successfully obtain the E-type Visa from the Embassy in Belgium based on marriage to a Cambodian National.
In my opinion, it is unlikely that the current entry requirements and restrictions will be eased or suspended this year.

Re: Visa expectations
That’s it? December’s not for 5 months, and plenty of countries are opening up with comparable figures.BillDoe wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 6:51 amThe almost thousand cases and 30 deaths daily?nerdlinger wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 5:47 amYou seem pretty certain of yourself there, do you have anything to back that up?
I’m not saying it’ll definitely be open, but it seems foolhardy to act so sure of yourself either way.

So what do you think the odds are Cambodia will be open for tourists, without any form of quarantine, in December 2021?nerdlinger wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 5:37 pmThat’s it? Yes, all countries should seal their borders and force citizens to stay at home and starve until that glorious day that death is eliminated arrives and universal immortality is achieved.BillDoe wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 6:51 amThe almost thousand cases and 30 deaths daily?nerdlinger wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 5:47 amYou seem pretty certain of yourself there, do you have anything to back that up?
This is the only way that humanity can be saved from this deadly disease.
