Pre-booking Quarantine Hotels reintroduced 18 Jul 21

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Oh, the joy of COVID…

I think I’d rather have the quarantine- I’ve had over 15 PCR tests this year, among other assaults on ones dignity.

Haha, joys indeed...a quick calculation in my head has me sitting at about 26 PCR tests since this whole shit started. My clients get a PCR test every 3 days when they are in country so that they always have a valid certificate for travel in case they have to evacuate at short notice, glad I don't have to go through that!

Hopefully the G-Mekong won’t be touting for pre-booking type business. I raised a query with them in December last year about the crap service, etc. They replied today!

What are those "other terms and conditions"? The will be revealed on your confirmation letter after you have booked, paid and are stuck with it.

I know its a crap shoot but if you can book Phnom Penh hotel its worth it or if you end up in Phnom Penh hotel.

They allow outside food/ deliveries. Most staff speak English or broken English and they seem responsive to requests. I am impressed. Of course its totally random but so far so good.

The 2k deposit does it need to be cash at departure or can you show Canada bank account with enough fund's to use at arrival?
