Just to add-
They are now telling people upon leaving quarantine, to allow 2 business days. Scrub the day that you leave quarantine, so it roughly works out as from open of business 3 days after.
The blue slip is annotated with the test dates, too. The bank cashier will access your details based on your passport and blue slip, but have your original invoice ready in case you have query (probably futile)

That's what they've been telling people since quarantine started, but in the last 5 months or so all reports indicate 5-7 days. In May I went to the bank 6 days after release and it wasn't available as the MoH hadn't authorised the release of the funds, bank called me the following day to inform me that I could collect.
I'll be able to personally update in the next few weeks as I'm flying back this week for yet another dose of Cambodian quarantine.

When you do, would you mind keeping the list of refund bank branches? I’m sure it’s more extensive now.
Side note. I bank with ABA. It’s easy to pay on arrival, but as it’s not their client bank, refund is in cash only at CAB. ABA customer service is pretty poor on the whole, but the staff at CAB have convinced me several times over that I’ll be unlikely ever to be a customer of theirs.

Im giving you an 11/10 for that informative reply.PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 8:23 pm @sousadeyy , yea off-topic, but...
For those unaware, the hotels don't manage the deposit funds, you collect your refund from the bank you made the deposit with upon arrival.
The itemised hotel receipt will list the room charges, meal charges and any additional charges such as laundry if utilised... Ensure you ask for the itemised hotel receipt upon check-out so that you can check they haven't charged you for anything they shouldn't have, do not sign any check-out documents until you have done so. Keep this and take with you to the bank in order to dispute any charges (ie. meals that you opted out of) (Note: Many people have reported their hotels not willing to issue the receipt, insist, or at least insist on them clarifying what you are being charged).
You will need the blue deposit slip you received from the bank you made the deposit with, and your passport in order to claim the unused portion of your deposit from the bank.
Your refund of the unused portion of your deposit is usually available from 5-7 business days following your release from quarantine. The bank will hold onto your funds for up to 12 months, so there is no rush to claim your refund.
If in PP your refund should be collected at the main branches (addresses are on the back of the deposit receipt, example below, which you need to keep safe), refund can also be collected from the Kampot, Sihanoukville, Siem Reap, Battambang branches of the relevant bank.
When you collect your refund, the bank should provide you with an itemised receipt. People have reported that Acleda refuse to issue this, CAB and Canadia Banks do. (Example below from CAB)
The below costs are fixed, these will be on the receipt you receive from the bank, not the hotel;
- PCR Test x2 (min) @$100 ea
- Transport @$5
- Med Staff @$6 p/d
- Security @$3 p/d
- Bank Fee @$30
Thank you sir...... I'll let you all get back to your quarantine prebooking cutter chatter now.
Arkun chran.

I just did my second stint, and it wasn't half as bad this time around, knowing what to expect etc. It wasn't fun, but much more bearable.
(my work paid for my quarantine the first time so I didn't have to deal with the banks, hence not knowing the process)

Out of interest, how many bouts of quarantine have you done so far?PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 11:02 pm That's what they've been telling people since quarantine started, but in the last 5 months or so all reports indicate 5-7 days. There should be a CEO Merit badge for such robust repeat offenders.
It will be interesting when such folk can start start comparing their current quarantine at a particular hotel, with a previous quarantine at the same establishment.

Haha, it's shit, waste of my time & money. I know one guy who has been through quarantine in Cambodia 8 times already, all I can say is FK that!
