Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On National Road 3, Toul Key village, Sangkat Phleung Chheh Roteh, Khan Kombol, 2 out of 4 suspects sought for the robbery of a Honda Dream 2020 (Prey Veng 1R 9039) were arrested on July 13, 2021. The victim was beaten up before they stole the motorbike, however, the victim did not file a report with police. The police were informed of the incident by the press, and they then investigated the suspects until the day of the arrest.
The suspects were Chem Khemarith, a 22-year-old, drug addict, who lives in Prey Tea village, Sangkat Choam Chao 3, Khan Po Sen Chey, and Tep Penh, a 23-year-old, the leader of the group, who lives in Toul Pongro village, Sangkat Choam Chao 1, Khan Po Sen Chey.



The police also seized 2 other Honda Dream 2020 and 2021 models, one without a number plate, the other one's number plate was 1IC 6209.
Five other suspects are being sought by police, such as Tren, Sam Oun, Kay, Rak, and Prolet, who have constantly joined forces to beat up people and steal their properties in the remote areas of Phnom Penh and Kompong Speu province over the past five years.


The 2 suspects arrested were detained in custody and tested for Covid19 and await trial.

It's possible these thieves work for the police in an undisclosed manner. It's not that uncommon here.
