A Gibbon love story: Nangali-soka and Karuna
When all is falling apart around us, there's nothing like a good love story to put the world in its place. I really fell for this one. Enjoy.

A Gibbon love story: Nangali-soka and Karuna
Want to hear an incredible love story from a Cambodian forest? Meet Nangali-soka and Karuna, two Pileated Gibbons who met and fell in love! Here’s their story:
When he heard that male Nangali-soka lost his mate, Director of Wildlife Rescue and Care Nick Marx wanted to help. Nangali-soka lives in Uddom Srae Puos Forest in Kampong Speu province. In May, his luck changed when female Pileated Gibbon Karuna joined him in the forest. The the incredible happened! Nangali-soka and Karuna bonded and have been together ever since!
So far, Karuna’s soft release into the forest has been successful- more updates coming soon! We hope Nangali-soka and Karuna’s love continues and their family grows in the future, so there are more Pileated Gibbons in Uddom Srae Puos Forest!
This true love story was made possible by the Forestry Administration’s Ratanapich Nhek Director of Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre where Karuna previously lived, and the Ministry of Environment who protect Uddom Srae Puos Forest.
