Fun at the vaccination center

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

So I’ve since learned, that’s what I get for not bothering my arse to check out the actual cost 😬
Don't bother too much, obtaining an EOS at the DOI for the official price is more unlikely than Cambodia's soccer team winning the World Cup in Qatar in 2022.
Plenty of reports of people obtaining visas at immigration.
Fully aware of that. But after eleven years in Cambodia I value my own experiences over 'reports of people'.

I will sure I will have a few cases of Ganzberg ready for the occasion.

You got your visa directly from the DoI @ 180$?

Yep, picked it up a couple weeks ago. No agents, no hassle, no fleecing.

Last time I did it myself at the Department of Immigration on Russian Blvd. near the airport was in 2012. The listed official price was $280 for a one-year extension, the same all the years before. I don't know where people got the $190 from. This looks like a 6-month visa. Then I had it done in SHV at Motta for $290 until 2017, and since 2018 in Kampot for $300.

I got my first shot in Kep yesterday without any hassles. No preferential treatments for anybody. You register your name (never mind that I had registered online at the Ministry of Health website before). When registering I just told the guy there let me write my name down, it will be quicker. It just took 10 min. The next day you wait until your name gets called. Pretty speedy process too. I was amazed. All done after 1 1/2 hours.

All these vaccines coming in donated now, just wait for the 3rd boosters and they tell you "NO" you can't have.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
